River Ranch Salad Recall

Dear Valued Customers,

Last night, May 18th, the F.D.A and River Ranch Fresh Foods announced a voluntary recall of multiple Salad mixes, Shredded lettuces and Chopped Romaines. The products could potentially be contaminated with Listeria. The use by dates of these products is May 12th through May 22nd.

Produce Express carries Salad mix, Salad mix with Romaine and Shredded lettuce processed by River Ranch. The code dates would have been delivered between Tuesday May 2nd and Monday May 7th. If you have any product with these code dates do not use them and contact us immediately.

To date NO illnesses have been reported or linked to this recall.  Product has been distributed nationwide through hundreds of distributors.

River Ranch is no longer using their facility to process product. They are now using another processing facility, Taylor Farm's. All products delivered this week including today were processed at the Taylor Farm's facility.

If you do not feel comfortable serving this product you may return it. Do to the late notification we have no other labels at this time. We will be sourcing other options this week. River Ranch is one of the nations leading suppliers of processed lettuces and the market will be drastically affected.

Produce Express also carries Broccoli Buds from River Ranch which are processed separately from the lettuces and have not been implicated in this recall.

Once again, to date NO illnesses have been linked to this recall.
