chocolate fish coffee roasters

Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters is a favorite among local coffee aficionados. With two locations in Sacramento, Chocolate Fish is committed to roasting and serving the freshest possible coffee while maintaining the essential flavors within the bean. They travel to various growing regions to meet producers and learn about their growing practices. Freshness is very important to ensure a premium roast which is why Chocolate Fish sources beans that have been harvested within the last 12 months. They roast to bring out sweetness and acidity. Chocolate Fish is an avid supporter of the Sacramento community from participating in countless events to giving their coffee grounds to Re-Soil Sacramento to be used in community gardens in the city. We proudly offer the following in 5# cases; whole beans or ground:

  • Espresso (Brazil)– semi-sweet, dark chocolate with notes of caramel and subtle orange acidity, finishes with a lush creamy mouth feel.
  • Brazil– dark berry sweetness, medium acidity with a chocolate finish.
  • Decaf (Santa Lucia, Mexico)– stonefruit sweetness, low acidity, buttery body and brown sugar aftertaste

 Looking back at 2017

Thank you for a great year! We had two of the most largely attended Farmer's Markets (summer and fall); we visited Cowgirl Creamery to learn all about their cheese making process and even got to help get a new batch started; we visited Twin Peaks Orchard and rode around in the tractor with Camelia; Jim Mills retired from Produce Express after 19 years; we visited the Sacramento Delta and learned a ton about the land from Ron Kelly (owner of R. Kelley U-Pick Farm) and Steve Heringer; We visited our organic farms in Yolo County including Del Rio Botanical, Riverdog, and Full Belly; Women's Day "Baker's Delight" was hosted at Twin Peaks Orchard and was a great success with a bake sale that raised money for Women's Empowerment (a non-profit that helps women find employment); and much more!

We also added several new products to our line-up: Cordillera Chocolate | Sacramento Sprouting Company | Amazon Planet Acai | Z-Specialty Honeys, Fruit Spreads, and Nut Butters | Blue Diamond Almond Milk | Paradiso Tomatoes | DGM Lion’s Mane | New local cheeses from Cypress Grove, Nicolau Farms, Valley Ford Cheese, and Fiscalini Cheese | Baby Brussels Sprouts
