Twin Peaks Orchards is nestled in the foothills of Newcastle, California. This area has been known as the fruit basket of the world since produce began to be shipped east by ice train in the late 1800's.
The vineyard quality soil, the rolling hills of Newcastle, California, and hot days with cool nights create fruit that is not only rich in sugar, but full of flavor. Peaches, plums, nectarines, persimmons, Asian pears...Twin Peaks Orchards provides you with the gourmet fruit lovers' dream, wonderful delicious aromatic tree ripened fruit picked at its optimum maturity to provide you with a taste and visual sensation like no other.
We hand pick and pack our premium tree ripe fruit nearly year round. We start in early May with our sweet peaches and floral nectarines, and end the year with our unique mix of persimmons and citrus-Meyer Lemons and Blood Oranges.
As we pass our 100th anniversary, we still remain a family owned and operated full-time farm that serves primarily grocery stores, but also distributors, restaurants, and farmers' markets.
We not only work our orchards, but the fifth generation of our family now lives and plays in them. We monitor our trees, use beneficial insects, bio and organic controls, and soft conventional controls only as a last resort. Continual process improvement is a key to our success, and we continue to be innovative while maintaining our heritage of producing the best.
We have a food safety program that includes a HACCP plan and Good Agricultural Practices to ensure food safety from farm to fork. We feel that it is important to understand where your food comes from, and always welcome visitors. Our on site government regulated commercial processing facility is where we produce our jams, salsa, sauces, pies and dried items using our high quality fruits and vegetables.
