Elegant Beans and Beyond is a family-owned business that brings heirloom and exotic dry beans “grower direct to you.” Chip and Bobbie Morris, owners of Elegant Beans and Beyond, both come from farming families, which have been involved in agriculture in the Sac-Joaquin Valley area for generations.
Madrid Santa Fe Trading Company is owned and operated by the Madrid family and is located in South Sacramento near the metropolitan Airport. Following a successful restaurant career in New Mexico and Sacramento, Andy and Lola Madrid started a tortilla business in 1983, initially producing six tortillas per minute. They created a line of specialty tortillas in 1993 and saw production rise to 5,000 tortillas a day. Currently, the business is in the hands of their children and they are producing up to 35,000 flavored tortillas per day.
Dwelley Farms, located in Brentwood, CA-26 miles west of Stockton. The Brentwood agricultural area is close to the Sacramento Delta and within view of the Altamont Pass and Mt. Diablo. During the growing season, the area is characterized by hot days and cool nights which result in excellent growing conditions for a variety of fruits and vegetables including tomatoes, squash, beans, corn, cherries, peaches and apricots. Mark Dwelley’s family has been farming in the area since the 1920’s. Mark has over 30 years experience on the farm and currently has over 800 acres planted to a variety of crops. Purchasing fruits and vegetables directly from local farms ensures longer shelf life as well as a higher degree of quality and freshness. Riverdog Farm is a 450 acre certified organic, diversified family farm that grows vegetables, fruits, nuts, and raises chickens and pigs. They are located in the beautiful Capay Valley where rich creek-bottom soil, intense summer heat, and winter frost make exceptionally tasty fruits and vegetables. Since 1990, they have used a system of compost, crop rotation, cover cropping and hedgerow planting to keep their soil healthy and to promote a healthy ecosystem around the farm. Their animals are integrated into our farming system by providing natural fertilizer for orchards and fields and are all raised on organic pasture.
Based locally in Modesto, Ca. the DiNapoli family has over 60 years of tomato processing experience. All of the tomatoes used by DiNapoli are vine-ripened, fresh picked, California tomatoes and the primary variety is the San Marzano Style Plum tomato. In addition, we have added DiNapoli’s newest item to our existing list of DiNapoli tomato products called ‘Simply Red’. Unlike other DiNapoli products, Simply Red tomatoes are ‘cold pressed’, or uncooked, round tomatoes and offer a brighter color and fresh flavor. DiNapoli tomato products are characterized by deep red color, soft fragile texture and a sweet natural taste. We are pleased to offer local DiNapoli tomato products to you.
