DEL
RIO ARUGULA
Arugula,
also known as roquette (French) or its old English
name of rocket, is a leafy, Mediterranean green that
has been grown throughout history. A member of the
mustard and radish family, arugula is distinguished
by its flavor, usually described as somewhat bitter,
but more correctly, as ‘peppery'. Arugula is a component
in most mesclun, or spring salad mixes where it adds
contrasting flavor to sweet lettuces. Del Rio Arugula
is a potent variety of this popular green-organically
grown with a mustard sharp flavor, this arugula is
great used raw in salads or sautéed for pastas.
