Fuji apples are excellent for eating out of hand and in salads. They are also great in pies and tarts and good for applesauce.
The Japanese apple known as Fuji became very popular in the United States in the 1980's. The Fuji is a perfect combination of a Red Delicious with its juicy, firm texture and the flavor of the heirloom Ralls Janet.
