Grapes - Black Monukka
The Black Monukka is a medium sized black seedless table grape with tender skin and an excellent crisp, sweet flavor. It is one of the best table grapes grown in our area.
Use in salads, cheese plates, bake into focaccia bread, roast them and serve with pork, duck and other poultry, press them, let them sit with their skins and strain for a wonderful base for vinaigrette, juice for granita or a reduced syrup for desserts.
Black Monukka grapes are thought to have originated from a Persian grape 'Munaqqa', which translates to raisin.
