Fresh Origins owner, David Sasuga, began growing Microgreens in 1995 and is now one of the larger growers in the country. Located in San Diego on two acres with seven climate controlled warehouses, Fresh Origins grows, harvests and ships a large assortment of fresh MicroGreens to restaurants and distributors year round.
Using seed stock harvested from around the world, Fresh Origins Microgreens are grown in peat moss and harvested within a few days after sprouting. The harvest yields but one cut and replanting is constant. When the growing cycle is complete, the special care that is taken and attention to detail in harvesting and packaging results in extraordinary quality and a longer shelf life than similar products.
